Compositions

“Compositions”
In this series of drawings, I explore breaking from the typical square or rectangle format of my drawings.
Printed on multiple aluminum panels, the various shapes emphasize certain aspects of the drawings and the open spaces allow the viewer to fill in the missing parts.
Each work combines many elements which may appear unrelated but they have all evolved from the same set of vector drawings I created over many years.
Hydrofoils evolved into spirals, bolts evolved into bubbles, submarines evolved into landscapes, and parts and pieces became thousands of flowers.
Each drawing uniquely documents these evolutions and consequently the passing of time.
